USING MAGNIFYING FILTERS ON A NIKON D7000

I love my new camera, but having only the kit lens sometimes gets frustrating. Having used all of my money simply on the new kit, I'm not in a position to be splurging on new lenses for a while. In the mean time, I'm experimenting with cheap kit. These are Polaroid macro filters - basically magnifying glass filters. The image is distorted, obviously, and there's a lot of colour distortion too (see the purple edging) but I'm finding I like the dreamy effect this gives the images, so I'll work with it. It's fun being able to get some closer images until I can save up enough, or borrow my mum's lenses. I love being able to catch tiny details, and these images were my first few with the filter so I'm hoping to get a lot more use out of them.
