MARY SHELLEY, 'FRANKENSTEIN'

Monday 16 January 2012

I finished my essay on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein late last night, and the more I read and analysed, the more I came to love Frankenstein's monster (despite detesting my essay!). For a character so often made to seem dumb or senseless, his original portrayal is so much better - it's very interesting to approach the novel from a point of view which shows the monster to be a fully developed, emotional being; you might well say 'human'.
