Wandering around the Lanes in Brighton with Ainsley last week, I was struck by how many of the little shops (especially the jewellers) had hand-painted lettering on their shop fronts. As we walked through the streets and down on to the seafront I started looking for more handpainted typography. My particular favourites are the careful lettering of the Brighton Fishing Museum - sadly closed on our visit - and the yellow and green of the 'smoke house' opposite it. Something I'm going to keep my eye out for in the future!
