Davy & Kristin McGuire's Paper Theatre

Tuesday, 20 May 2014

I'm still going with the last bits of my degree. In a couple of weeks time, my last few essays will be finished and I'll finally be free! Having written most of my dissertation in a weekend, I headed off to the printers - who sadly made a little mistake on the front cover of my binding. A printing mistake on a project about the importance of typography and visuality in literature - oh, the irony! But never mind, I'm glad to see the back of it. After a few days off I'm back to writing, and once that's done I'll have to start thinking about what I'm going to be doing with my life post-education. In the mean time, I've been having the odd read of blogs in my breaks and today on Colossal I came across this little gem from Davy and Kristin McGuire. Dainty paper-cut scenery, beautiful lighting and animation, a strange but enticing narrative... I'm sold.
