Carving at the City & Guilds degree show

Monday 1 July 2013

Today I went down to the City & Guilds of London School of Art degree show. A schoolfriend of mine was showing his work from his Historical Wood carving course and I took the opportunity to go and see his work along with the rest. Asides from the BA Fine Art bits, there was some amazing work on display from some of the more specialist courses, such as conservation, stone carving and wood carving. These were just a few of my favourite pieces. The first and second are both my friend's. Go to his facebook page to see a more in depth view of his work (his website is Watson Woodwork) - he gilded part of the Queen's barge for the Royal Jubilee last year!
