ORIGINAL | Reasons to be there

I had intended to post some pictures of the glow worms (yes, that's right, glow worms) up my road; I went for a walk with the boyfriend, tripod and macro lens in hand, set up and made about five long exposures, went to look at the pictures and found that I'd made the classic rookie error of not putting a memory card in. Fail. However I took these earlier this evening, so here you are. There was an absolutely amazing sunset and I was snapping away when I noticed my antique bottles were getting in the way, went to move them and then decided to leave them in and try some abstract photography, which I don't really do much at the moment. Pretty pleased with the results actually! Tempted to get these made into large prints, or do large paintings of them in oils. We shall see. Anyway this was the view outside my bedroom tonight:
