Studio transformations by JeeYoung Lee

I stumbled across JeeYoung Lee's work on Colossal a couple of years back, but my computer saved the page to the wrong bookmark folder (I have a very organised system) and so I completely lost all trace of it. Recently when I was clearing out my hundreds of bookmarks, I stumbled back across the dream-like photographs and fell in love all over again. Lee spends weeks transforming her tiny studio into surreal new environments to photograph. Incredibly, she doesn't use any post-processing manipulations to create her images - everything is made and lit in real life, exhibiting an unbelievable amount of patience and attention to detail. Some of the elements in her photographs take an exorbitant amount of time to build, such as the wire leaves in 'Treasure Hunt' (above), crafted over three months.
