A DAY AT THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

Tuesday 3 April 2012

Blooming trees outside the museum | copper sheet | more flowers | stills from the water cycle movie in Ecology | 'lasting impressions' fossil section | bird anatomy | molecular crystal studies | inside birds | 'ruined city' marble | giant ammonite fossil | pink agate

Yet another trip to the Natural History Museum! I can't seem to stay away, it's my go-to place if I've got a free day. I'm slowly exploring all the areas of the museum that I tended to miss before, and I never run out of things to photograph. The weather in London has been beautiful recently and there's nothing better than sitting out on the grass at the front of the museum to eat. I can't wait for the Inside Out exhibition - based on the displays of human bodies by Gunther von Hagens (Bodyworlds) except with animals.
