Thomas Hooper's amazing black and grey tattoo work. This the kind of stuff that I really, seriously love - intricate designs, symmetry, circles, proper florals, and great tattooing. The first tattoo I'm planning to get is a design similar to the first image, hopefully on my ribs (though I'm not vastly brave, so we'll see). You can see more of his work on his Flickr page and his Portfolio.

  2. Is it healing issues? I've read about some tattoo artists who specialise in tattooing scar tissue!

  3. wow, these are great. unfortunately I don't have the guts to go for something really big, so I ended up with a few smaller ones. maybe one day....

  4. Wow. I love black & grey, is it like tribal inspired? I've never seen anything like this (& my boyfriend is a tattooist with a tribal specialist in his shop!) I've literally just spent an embarrassing amount of time looking at his work.

Your ribs are the *most* painful place to get a tattoo. I would maybe get something small somewhere else first, rather than jump in at the deep end. But then again the pain only lasts for however long the tattoo takes & then you have something amazing for the rest of your life!

You don't like the title of Kanye West's album? I know what you mean, it's a bit try hard, like everything he does. But I've been there since College Dropout so it's more about his music... he might just go into fashion & shut up a bit more though!
